Overview

An assessment system is only as credible as its internal quality assurance. This qualification prepares experienced assessors to sample decisions, run standardisation, and act when a colleague's judgement drifts.

It is the senior end of the ASIEA assessment chain and a proposed Level 4 award on the qualification ladder.

Practical competence is assessed in person by a qualified assessor against written criteria. No practical competence is assessed online.

Entry requirements

  • 21 years or older at the start of the programme
  • A current assessor qualification and active assessment practice
  • Access to a team of assessors and live candidate evidence to sample
  • Confident written English for sampling and feedback records
